Installing is simple as if all you have to do is take them out of the package and stick them in the ground

There are millions of people around the world who are concerned about environmental issues like energy conservation.  People are talking about alternative energy and getting away from being so dependent on oil for our electric power production.  Many of these people want to do their part to help conserve energy and lesson our dependency on fossil fuels but don’t know where to start.

One place that is easy to start is with solar garden lights.  These easy to install and use solar lights use absolutely no electricity from fossil fuels which is a great way to conserve energy.  Many people who want to help do their part to save the planet don’t start because they don’t think that they have the skills to install solar power systems or solar lighting.

With solar garden lights, there’s really nothing to know.  All you have to do is take them out of the package and stick them in the ground.  Solar garden lights are made of a few simple components.  The actual solar light fixture is made on a molded plastic or metal stake so you can simply press the solar light fixture into the ground.  They will all have a small solar panel on the top of them.  The solar light fixture will have a small solar charge controller circuit to prevent the rechargeable battery from being overcharged.  They will also have a small rechargeable battery.  Let’s not forget the light bulb.  Many solar lights use very efficient LED lights instead of energy hogging incandescent lights.  The last element to an solar garden light is a photovoltaic eye.  This simple sensor will automatically turn the light on at night and shut it off during the day.

You can place these handy solar lights where ever you want in your garden.  It’s a good idea to make sure you position them in a place that will get sun exposure during the day time.  Without sun exposure to the solar panel, the battery won’t charge and the solar light fixture won’t product any light.
