When we are suffering from heavy stress, regardless of what factors that bring upon the stress, our body responds to the stress by releasing more cortisol hormone, which is also known as the stress hormone, to the blood stream.

Stress is closely related to the formation of chest acne. When we are suffering from heavy stress, regardless of what factors that bring upon the stress – traffic jams, broken relationships with the partner, a fight with a colleague at work, our body responds to the stress by releasing more cortisol hormone, which is also known as the stress hormone, to the blood stream.

These hormones are very beneficial in the ancient ages during the fight-or-flight situations. Obviously, this type of hormone has allowed men to survive life threatening situations. However, these hormones are not really that much needed for maintaining our survival. We get stressed these days as a result of exams, important dates and events, financial problems and so on which are not really life-threatening.

When we are facing a problem that is stressful, our body kicks into the high gear thanks to the secreted cortisol hormones. The stress allows us to run and act faster and gives us a short burst of energy.

A body under stress produces a higher level of stress substances such as the corticosteroids and some opiates which suppress the immune system in general. This will then lead to worsened and increased inflammatory processes in the body. This is why your skin becomes worse when you are suffering from severe stress.

There are a lot of proofs that state the connection between certain illnesses, which include acne, and heavy stress. Doctors and dermatologists of today believe that anxiety, depression and stress are all linked to worsened skin problems. When sufferers of acne keep on stressing the skin problems they are facing, inevitably, their skin’s quality and complexion will only deteriorate as a result.

Although some stress can be beneficial in life, we want to strike a good balance to prevent stress-induced acne, as well as other unwanted health problems and diseases. We will never be able to eliminate stress in life, and it would not make any logical sense to eliminate the stress response of the body, but we can do our best to reduce and control stress.

If you are able to reduce the amount of stressful situations you face in your daily life, I am very sure that you will as a result get rid of chest acne.
