Make junk food snacking an inconvenience.

Keep a well-stocked kitchen
Even if you’re down to a few critical foods—some pasta, a jar of spaghetti sauce, a bag of frozen vegetables, and cold cuts—you can make yourself a nutritious meal in the 400- to 600-calorie range. That saves hundreds of calories over the fast-food meal you pick up because “there’s nothing to eat at home.

Keep a poorly stocked supply of junk food
Keep the boxes of cookies, pretzels, chips, and ice cream out of the house. Remember: Make junk food snacking an inconvenience. And if you do go out to get yourself that snack, bring home just one serving.

Walk it off
Sure, you could park in front of the store, shop, get back in your car, drive a half mile away, and park again in front of the bank. But don’t. Leave the car in the parking lot equivalent of left field, walk to the store, shop, then walk to the bank and back to your car. That’s calories burned, mood elevated, appetite suppressed, and chores done! Look for any other opportunities to burn calories: taking the stairs rather than the elevator, walking up escalators, walking instead of taking the subway (if you live in a city). Just an extra 100 calories burned each day (and you might end up burning lots more) translates to nearly a pound shed almost effortlessly each month.

Hang out with like-minded friends
Someone who’ll meet you at the gym, or go on a walking date, or say no to dessert with you at a restaurant is an invaluable companion. Together, you can keep each other honest, encourage each other and make staying in shape enjoyable. Find online weight-loss buddies on the www.good housekeeping.com Weight Loss Support Group. Watch out for so-called friends who try to sabotage your weight loss by tempting you with scale-hiking foods!

  1. Burn Fat Fast says:

Losing weight and losing fat is very difficult t first for you may do all the sacrifice to be able to achieve your goal. Being a loser is not always bad but being a successful weight loser is having your self-used in doing an exercise and taking in healthy and right amount of food. Though being successful is taking a lot of sacrifice but that sacrifice is only at first but being successful is forever.

I lost 154 lbs in 1.5 years – 90 lbs in 8 months. Without all that crap above. Smart, healthy weight loss, but not with all the junk you hear everyday. It’s bunk. I would love to tell you how…but you probably cannot afford my plan. If – when – you REALLY WANT to lose weight – REALLY NEED to lose weight to save your life, ask yourself – “how much is that worth to me?” That’s what I charge.
