Very often physical aggression begins with the protagonist grabbing the victim as a prelude to the assault. Sometimes it is used simply as a means of intimidating a victim. Either way, you should be able to deal with what is a very common form of attack.

Defender recognizes the danger of allowing an opponent to control both the movement and distancing of a fight and looks to escape immediately. He grabs Attacker’s right wrist with his left hand and begins to bring his right hand under Attacker’s right arm.
Defender steps his right foot out wide past Attacker’s right foot. It is important to step wide since you must allow sufficient room for yourself to step through the space between your foot and the opponent’s body. At the same time Defender brings his right arm in a scooping motion under Attacker’s right arm 50 that his right hand is holding Attacker’s right arm at the triceps or elbow.

Defender slips his head out from under Attacker’s arm, taking a position behind Attacker’s back with a tight shoulderlock. By pushing Attacker’s right wrist up his back, Defender can tighten the lock.
