Honestech meets all of the standards including “a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.”
The Better Business Bureau has recently accredited Honestech and given it the stamp of approval. The BBB determined that Honestech meets all of the standards including “a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.” This, of course, does not mean that the company is perfect but it does mean that the complaint volume is comparatively small for a company of Honestech’s size. The BBB received only three complaints for Honestech and all of these complaints were resolved within a reasonable amount of time. Needless to say, these are very good statistics if you are considering Honestech to transfer your VHS tapes.
Note: Keep in mind that if you do not have a PC running Windows, you will not be able to use Honestech’s transfer VHS to DVD products at all.
The Honestech 5.0 is probably the most popular of all of their video converter products. It is designed for someone looking to get the job done fairly well in the simplest and quickest way possible. For only $79.99 the VHS to DVD practitioner gets a bunch of truly great features including:
- Converts and authors for DVD and Blu-ray discs
- Main title page
- Chapter menus with animated titles
- Background music
- Transitions and effects
- The ability to import digital photo formats
- Export to MPEG-4 for iPhone, PSP, etc.
- The capability to upload videos to You Tube
- Exports videos to an MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 file format for editing purposes
So, if you need to convert VHS to DVD with a video converter product that will make it much easier than ever, then this could be the one for you. You are not going to get super high tech perfection but, then again, you can not get super high tech perfection at the price of just $79.99.
