The kids will love walking around the display and choosing their own cupcake
If you need to throw a Halloween party for your little ones and their friends, why not look beyond the traditional and plentiful candy theme and give the kids something a bit more substantial (even if it is sweet)! Cupcakes will provide at least some nutrition for their sugar-saturated bellies, and the kids will enjoy it more than just another piece of candy. Cupcakes are also quite cute (if decorated properly), so they will add a nicely decorated element to the party.
If you have the time to make and decorate the cupcakes on your own, you will have more control over the actual success of the decorations. You can choose to do something very simple such as adding some sprinkles to a solid colored frosting, or you can get into quite elaborate themes. There are many examples of Halloween cupcake decorations online, so if you are skilled at that sort of thing, why not just take a look and then create your own? We’ve seen very cool looking spider cupcakes and cupcakes that have gummy worms on the top. If you want to stick with the traditional candy theme, you could even just press a few Halloween colored M&Ms into the top of your frosting. The kids are not likely to care—they will just be happy to get a delicious cupcake!
To get double duty out of your efforts, we recommend turning your cupcakes into a centerpiece display by displaying them on a stand. Cupcake stands are towers that have separate tiers on which you can display your decorated cupcakes, and it turns them into a party centerpiece. The kids will love walking around the display and choosing their own cupcake, and the cool look it will give to your party will allow you to do that much less decorating!
